Aybek Kunaev was appointed SEO of Dana Capital in October 2023. He has more than 20 years of experience in financial markets. After starting his career in 2001 at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he worked at the country’s Ministry of National Economy.

Over the course of 18 years – between 2003 and 2020 – Aybek held various executive positions at the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NBRK), where he was responsible for financial market analytics and strategic development, as well as for organization and control, and oversaw HR. Between 2020 and 2022, he served in a senior HR position at Unified Accumulative Pension Fund.

In 2022–2023, he was Deputy Chairman at Pioneer Capital Invest and Managing Director at Asian-Pacific Bank, where he supervised the HR function.

Aybek is an honored employee of the NBRK; in 2018, he was acknowledged with the state award For Distinguished Labor.

Aybek studied at the Turar Ryskulov Kazakh Economic University, majoring in banking and graduating in 2001. In 2018, he earned a master’s degree in business administration (for executives) from Nazarbayev University.

Maxim has more than 20 years of experience in capital markets, investment, and finance, both in Kazakhstan and Russia.

He has worked for leading investment banks such as Renaissance Capital, ATON, EXANTE, First Heartland Securities, and Jusan Invest. Before joining Dana Capital in October 2023, he served as Chairman of the Management Board and member of the Board of Directors at Jusan Invest, one of the leading investment companies in Kazakhstan.

In recognition of his significant contribution to developing the country’s financial sector, he was acknowledged with the Honored Financier of Kazakhstan Award. Maxim also received a diploma from the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, For Contribution to Developing Kazakhstan’s Capital Market, and the 30 Year Anniversary of Tenge Medal awarded by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Igor has joined Dana Capital in January 2022.

He has substantial experience in business process management and outsourcing. He has been CEO and partner at international audit firms (BDO and Crowe).

Igor is an active member of the Chamber of Tax Consultants of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from KIMEP University (2009) and a Master’s Degree in Finance (Investment Banking and Securities) from London School of Business and Finance (2011).

Meirman has worked in leading brokerage companies and has a deep knowledge (both theoretical and practical) of the securities market. He has more than 15 years of experience in finance. Throughout his career, he managed major accounts and focused on asset management, accounting and reporting, and back-office operations. Before joining Dana Capital, Meirman oversaw operations at Jusan Invest and served as member of its Management Board. He participated in all major projects of the company and worked on the automation of business processes.

Meirman studied at the Turar Ryskulov Kazakh Economic University, majoring in the securities market. He was recognized with the Best Financier Medal, a non-governmental award instituted by the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan.
